Can any one please explain what does 90nm and 45nm chip design mean.

Thanks and regards

The simple explanation to understand....

It is the size of the transistor used when the chip manufactured. Smaller size mean more transistor accommodated in a give size of the die. Smaller size die costs less normally.

Hope this helps..
With great power there must also come - great responsibility

that technology its mean width of d transistor,
for technology to technology width of the transistor is varying,
suppose 90nm means the width of the transistor is 0.9u M.

That means... the channel length of the transistor. 90nm means channel length of all transistors are fixed to 90nm, but width can be varied.
