Hi all, I need to work on FIR filter design in VHDL. Can we implement the design purely in VHDL or should it be generated using MATLAB? I would be thankful, if you can let me know about MAC FIR Xilinx core (If its a good way to implement a Filter design). Thank you for your time. Cheers

http://esd.cs.ucr.edu/labs/tutorial/FIR.vhd comment ("of FIR circuit") in the code. It is synthesizable code. Douglas link is not synthesizable one. http://esd.cs.ucr.edu/labs/tutorial/
