hmm!! Difficult question!!...

Just I'm thinking what I would I do...

Is this course introduces you complete chip design cycle? I mean from front end to back end?

In that case I will check if they have all required tools for the complete design flow. Usually it is not possible for a training center to have all licenses.... since they are very expensive. Also I don't expect that a training center will have all these tools...

But they should have something to train you.

Second thing I would check if they have knowledge to teach.

I hope this helps you a bit!!

Any other opinions are also welcome.

thanks very much for replying !
at one point of time i thought you are no more on this site but thanks anyway.

now today i just came after taking a demo class and i was so surprised because on the first day this trainer comes and started the topic from vlsi design flow.
he dont give any basic like what is vlsi whats in history !he just siad that he wirks in so and so company and he has done mtech in microelectronics from iit and then he started this topic no wonder i was shocked coz there were so many things which just bounced off my head !
on the first very day he stareted the topic by saying that flipflops are the general concept and give the example of validation and checking by time capture !
it was like all bounce!
they say they have software on the system and they we will practice by making prototype on fpga!
is it good for starter????

Hi..how is going your training?...Are you happy?
It is true that with less expensive tools you can learn FPGA implementation....
It will be good base if you want go into ASIC design in the future....

I can imaging that using words realted timing issues could be too much for beginners....

we are interested to see how you are proceeding....

it was my 3rd class and sir gave us a programme on mux and simple D-ff.
chola but one question which is arising in my mind is that im nt so much familiar with c programming or any language!
still i want to be the best vlsi enginner in this field,
would that be posiible.
or is there anything or any suggestion from u which can help me grab faster in this field.
and i would be great if u can tell me in which area of vlsi you are currently working, and how much time do u spend on a project on avg.

Dude.. i liked your attitude.. u are very keen to be a part of semiconductor industry.....

well i was just going thru your posts, and i found that u want to learn everything in a short span of time. Honestly, speaking u cant learn everything in class rooms or in ur labs.. u need to dedicate yourself properly then only u can do something.

Always rem, never think for everything, whatever u r being taught just try to gain and extract the maximum from ur profs/teachers try to avail the existing facilities.. as nobody can provide you everything...

just by learning C programming u can never become a 'Good VLSI designer' U need to have a right attitude for that...

After completing 3 lecs if u are not being able to write a simple hDL code for a MUx and DFF then u still have time dont waste ur money here.. try you luck somewhere else in other industries...

All the best...

first things first!! Dude,, why u seem pissed off!!! That is the first sign of being loser!!!

True but wierd... Well... try to read names carefully my friend.. It's not 'VIJAYA' Its 'VIJAY'...

I don't mind helping you... but i don't help losers.... The way u have written the post seems that the moment u got the assignment u posted it here...

HUH... like this u wanna become a GOOD/BEST DESIGNER???

Strange... first think of your own... blogs are to help... not to feed u the cooked food... try the code once... post ur attampts here.. we all will try u help you as much as we can....

By the way here is the formula... consruct ur verilog code by your self....

G = (g + n/g)/2

Where n = (Length in no of bits)input number and g = your 1st no.

Lastly, nobody is guru man.. Dont forget there is no shortcut to success... Practice makes a man perfect... it seem very awkward to tell you all these.. but cant help.. some ppl need advise desperately.. to keep there morale high!!!..

Cheers..
